Surrounded by the town’s facilities, which include a stunning golf course, foodie hotspots, historic buildings with a rich history and national parks, you’ll want for nothing when it comes to keeping busy and exploring the region. In addition, Summerfield presents an opportunity for a tree-change and to become a part of the tight-knit estate community.  You’ll also become a part of the wider Braidwood community, with a number of events and clubs that will ensure a bustling social life year-round.

The final stage of 13 homes is now on sale with construction planned to begin in May 2021 and aiming then to be ready for new owners to move in by June/July 2022.

Ring 1300 737 970 to organise a tour of the estate with Jane or go onto the website at www.summerfield.com.au to do your research first - hear from some of the residents and what they have to say and view the various floorplans on offer.

SHARING a meal is so important and so much nicer than having a meal delivered.  At Bougainvillea there is always something on, someone to chat to, or share a cup of coffee or a meal with.  A shared bottle of wine with dinner is a wonderful norm in our dining room.

Bougainvillea truly is a village community, sharing bonds of friendship and respect.

Our residents over the years have been a diverse group from war veterans of every rank, to some of our younger working residents of today. We have musicians and artists and many north shore hospital volunteers.  All resident, past and present are very proud of the village and the lifestyle it affords.

Village residents and staff are interested to hear about each other’s lives.   Very warm connections between residents and staff have always been a feature.  The Bougainvillea staff calibre is outstanding and they come from very diverse backgrounds and nationalities.  In turn we feel very privileged to know and share in our residents and staff families.

Since 1988 the Village has been managed by a family.

Choosing STRATA TITLE for Bougainvillea created a Title Deed to each residents’ home, which traditionally has always felt secure.

From day one through to today, Bougainvillea has always been the kind of home each resident chooses.  They must be allowed to enjoy the privacy and respect of their own front door to their home. Our presence is always discretely there, when they need us, 24/7.  Residents can choose to join in everything happening, or nothing at all.  Some in between.

So much so that a large percentage of residents after being with us for quite a short period tell us that they wish they made the decision to move earlier.

Government initiatives to keep people in their own homes longer are commendable, BUT sadly, mobility ramps, meals on wheels, and daily help doesn’t always address the main problem so many face and tell us about, the feelings of loneliness and isolation.  We hear of people who were living in high rise buildings, and never knew their neighbours, or spoke to anyone for days on end.

Bougainvillea is comprised of 138 Strata self-contained units spanning 49 floor plan designs.  37 are fully serviced, 101 are independent or flexi care living, meaning you can opt in and out of all the services on offer.  These services include meals, cleaning, laundry, weekly breakfast supplies through to individual personal care attendance (assistance in medication and showering) when available, all on a user pays basis.

We know that at some time, we all find we are in need of a little help in the domestics of life and Bougainvillea has been thoughtfully planned to cater for these needs and is fully accredited to do so.  Residents are welcome to still use their own service providers.

Our location is unbeatable! We have public transport on our doorstep. There are cafes and restaurants galore, clothes shops, hairdressers, audiologists, dentists and of course Woolies and Pharmacies, who will also deliver.  In our complex we have a podiatrist, florist, dress maker, hairdresser and nail salon.

Our gardens extend all through the village and are a constant joy for our residents to live amongst and for visitors to enjoy.

Our tradition of having the most marvellous staff and management continues.  We are so thankful to them for the caring security they provide our residents and each other and they count as our greatest asset.

We have a swimming pool and separate spa, both heated 365 days a year. A physio comes onsite to offer aqua aerobics classes, also exercise classes and we also have a yoga instructor offering yoga classes weekly.

Even without all these inclusions, where in Neutral Bay can you find self-contained Strata units from $300,000 to $830,000?

Our decor is pleasing, chic but relaxing and informal.

You can enjoy the lounge and dining room with baby grand piano, the library, card room, arts and crafts, BBQ area and of course the gym.  There is also a variety of social events with opportunities to make new friends or forge old ones.  From the Archibald to the Bowral Tulip festival travelling on our own bus.  We invite visiting guest speakers, musicians and host monthly birthday celebrations as well hosting events from Anzac Day, St Patrick’s Day, New Year and Christmas etc.

Bougainvillea is a Strata Titled Village which is also governed by the Retirement Villages Act. What this means for us is that the Management Company can make no profit from the Resident’s Annual Budget.  Bougainvillea in fact runs a business totally for the residents benefit within the Management business.
How you ask? All profits made from the dining room, bus outings, laundry services, independent unit cleaning and meal deliveries are paid into the Residents Budget Fund.

How then, you may well ask are we reimbursed for providing services to the village and Residents?

We agree with each new purchaser that when they live in the village be it one year, or however many, (23 has been the maximum to date) we will receive no payment from them until such time their unit is resold, whenever that might be.  The amount payable is calculated on a contracted scale basis.

IMPORTANTLY - Our Management Company has chosen, (not by any legal requirement as 1 of only 3 villages we know of in Australia) to contribute 17.5% of this income to the Capital Works Fund of the Strata Plan, which results in lower levies payable by resident owners.  A fact of which we are very proud.

You can ask for a Brochure and a copy of the DVD made by our residents. We would love to welcome you and show you over the village personally.

Seachange Lifestyle Resorts

It’s not just changing where you live but how you live

A new vision for over 50’s living

The Pradella Group is one of Queensland’s longest running and most awarded privately owned property development companies.  In 2009 Pradella started Seachange Lifestyle Resorts with their first flagship resort on the Gold Coast, Seachange Arundel.

Pradella’s vision was to establish a benchmark in community living for over 50’s that would set the standard for everything to come.   The traditional retirement village model did not appeal, with costly exit fees and complicated and purchasing structures, Pradella knew that there had to be a more innovative alternative to bring to the market.

Their desire to create this vision took the company’s directors overseas, and it was in Florida in the United States that a refreshing new approach was found. Pradella took the principles behind what they saw and built a first class facility that operates as a lifestyle resort, filled a calendar of interesting activities and events where like-minded residents could interact as a true community. One where people would choose to live, not begrudgingly, but willingly at a much younger age. A place where people could focus on what should be the best time of their lives.

Ten years on from this it is clear that their vision has been realised. The Arundel project has flourished into a vibrant community of active residents and been awarded by industry bodies such as the UDIA, Master Builders Association and Housing Industry of Australia. The second Seachange Lifestyle Resort, at Emerald Lakes on the Gold Coast, replicated this success, selling out entirely in an 18month period.  With a tried and tested model clearly mapped out, Seachange is poised for expansion with the launch this year of both Seachange Riverside Coomera on the Gold Coast and Seachange Toowoomba.   To find out more about Seachange Lifestyle Resorts you can visit www.seachangelifestyleresorts.com.au or make a time to visit one of the resorts by calling 1800 546 655

A Seachange Comes to Toowoomba Most often, a sea change describes the move from a city in favour of a better life in a coastal community.  The release of the first stage of Seachange Lifestyle Resort Toowoomba, has left many locals wondering how they can have a sea change whilst remaining in the beautiful Darling Downs region.

Pradella Property Ventures, the company currently developing the new Seachange Toowoomba Resort on Hampton Street, have taken this inherent concept of a change for the better and shaped it into a core philosophy.  A true seachange is not just changing where you live, but how you live. “You don’t need to move to a coastal location to enjoy a better lifestyle” says Director of Sales and Marketing for Seachange Alex McMahon.  “It’s about enjoying an easier life, where you have the opportunity to reward yourself for a lifetime of hard work.”

It will feature a 5-star Country Club and

recreational facilities that have been design to

nourish the mind, body and soul

Seachange Toowoomba will be the fourth Lifestyle Resort to be built by Pradella Property Ventures and like each of their existing award winning projects, it will feature a 5-star Country Club and recreational facilities that have been design to nourish the mind, body and soul.

To nourish the mind, they have incorporated a library, arts and craft studio and workshop so you can continue to develop your life skills and hobbies. To nourish the body, there will be the best sporting facilities including bowls green, tennis court, indoor and outdoor heated pools and gym so you can keep fit and fabulous. To nourish the soul, they have designed beautiful community spaces where you and your friends can come together to share and create memories.

Stage 1 of Seachange Toowoomba is now under construction, with the first homes and Summer house facility with swimming pool, tennis court, BBQ and entertaining facilities due for completion at the end of Octoer.

The resorts sales office is open Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm for those who want to learn more. Call 1800 546 655 or visit www.seachangelifestyleresorts.com.au

Seachange Toowoomba’s Summer House facility, due for completion October 2018.

Love the way you live

Seachange Riverside Coomera is the Gold Coast’s newest riverfront resort designed for over 50s. This boutique development has set a new benchmark in innovative building solutions and architecture, combining modern design with beautiful community spaces in a unique location. Understanding the importance of the delivery of amenity upfront, Seachange has committed to provide residents with one of its two facilities at an early stage; the River House. It is positioned on the eastern boundary andconnects directly to the riverfront.

The River House will be finished by November 2018. It features a library, billiards room, kitchen, and will connect seamlessly on to the large open alfresco decking onto the pool overlooking the beautiful Coomera River.

Much is said about the benefits of community living and this resort’s amenity will allow Seachange’s first residents to connect with family, friends and their neighbours in an environment that promotes relaxed living and never-ending options for activities and entertainment.
